How to install PetCam App?

To use PetCam App you need to install the app on 2 devices!
One device will be the Pet Station, which stays near your pet.
The 2nd device will be the Receiver, which stays with you and enables you to communicate with the Pet Station.

    • At the very first device create your PetCam App account by answering the question “if you already have an account” with NO.
      Follow the instructions of the app.
    • At the 2nd device answer the question “if you already have an account” with YES and enter your credentials.

How to use PetCam App correctly?

When using your Smartphone as Receiver or Pet Station, please move your smartphone to the horizontal position (landscape mode) after the app has been loaded!

Pet Station:
Please make sure that the Pet Station is connecting to a stable internet connection. If you use WiFi make sure, that your rooter is not too far from the device.
We recommend to use a WiFi or Ethernet connection for the Pet Station.
In case  you use a Tablet or Smartphone as Pet Station, please make sure, that no other apps are running in the background.
If you use a desktop as Pet Station, please make sure that the hardware is NOT entering the sleep mode.
Make sure that no firewall is blocking the Pet Station or you may NOT connect your Receiver with the Pet Station. Please avoid pushing the app away.
Always close each session with the orange button at the top left corner of the Pet Station. This avoids mal functions
Always keep the Pet Station connected to a power supply.

Using the features such as Live Video Talking or Live Video Streaming we recommend at least a stable 4G network.
Minimum requirement is a stable 4G network.
Also make sure that, if you use WiFi no firewall is blocking the communication with the Pet Station.
Please avoid pushing the app away.
Always close each session with the orange button at the top left corner of the Receiver.
As the Receiver has to communicate with the Pet Station it is very important, that the Receiver closes all open connection correctly. This avoids mal functions.
Always close all Video Streams with the buttons.
Try to avoid moving the app to the background while streaming or talking.

Which devices are supported?

PetCam App works with Apple iOS, Apple macOS, Android and Windows PC/Laptop.

Our test devices are:

iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPad Pro 12.9 inch 2nd generation with iOS 15.0.1 and MacBook Pro with macOS Big Sur, Catalina & Mojave

Android Test Devices:
Samsung Galaxy S9+ and Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite with Android 10 & Android 11
Please note: due to the huge amount of Android devices and configurations of the devices we can not guarantee the same quality of our application on all Android devices.

Do I have to pay after the 7 Days Trial?

After the 7 days trial you will stay with the Basic Version with limited functionality.  You will not be charged. There is no need to send us an email to cancel a subscription.

We do not ask clients to subscribe in advance, because we think that this is not a fair business model.

But we also ask you to be fair with us and send reclamations or questions to our support team, who will always try to help you. Sending bad reviews with your problems to the Google Play Store or Apple AppStore will not resolve your problems.

If you like the app please send positive reviews. This helps us to keep the app online and make it more reliable with each update.

How to handle / cancel my subscription?

PetCam App Full Version Subscriptions:

All prices include applicable local sales taxes at Apple, but will be added at Google Play Store. Your payment will be charged to your iTunes or Google Play Account at the confirmation of your purchase. A subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period.
Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user’s Account Settings after purchase.
Once a subscription has started, the amount for the current period can’t be charged back.
Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.

Why do I have a feedback when testing the app at home?

A feedback appears if your devices are near and the volume of the speakers is set to a too high level. To avoid this, test the streaming or talking by switching the volume of the speakers to a lower level and keep a distance between your devices.

How to reset my password?

Forgot your password?
Please follow these instructions:
  • Switch your smartphone to flight mode
  • open app
  • switch off the flight mode
  • answer the question if you have already an account with YES
  • enter your credentials.
  • If they are wrong you have the possibility to receive an auto generated password.
  • You will receive the auto generated password via e-mail (please also check your SPAM Folder)
  • Go to your private PetCam WebAdminenter your Username and the new Password
  • Change your password at your profile

Problem with Camera and Microphone Permissions (macOS only)

Please follow these instructions:
Switch off your Wifi or disconnect your Computer from your Ethernet cable.
Open the app
Connect to the internet again.
Enter your credentials.
If you are using macOS Catalina or BigSur answer the question with YES (blue button).
